Icarus: Drunk in Divine Ascension

This Essay is an interpretation of a story and how it has been artistically visualised on canvas. In a screenwriting paper, I was tasked with studying a painting that spoke to me. The painting I chose was called Icarus (2004) by Zagitov Vladimir. I have always loved the story and themes in the Greek mythology of Daedalus and Icarus. The exercise inspired me to further study paintings and how it represents an artists creative perspective of a story or idea. So out of my own curiosity, I composed this essay, an interpretation of interpretation.
